Starhub Racquet Channel ‘French Open 2011 – Battle of the Clay Nemesis.’


In preparation for the French Open 2011, we collaborated with Starhub to bring you this 3D promo of the battle between Nadal and his clay nemesis. 3D modeling, rigging and animation as well as heavy compositing was all done in-house, to create the main trailer, teasers, endpages and lowerthirds.

Hook N Sling.

Apart from the normal 3D graphics we’ve been seeing for awhile, Critica introduces the retro-chic catchy music in Hook & Sling’s latest music album. The typographic graphics for each layout portrayed a hip and exciting twist to the album; carefully planned and executed, it infuses smoothly together with the music, grabbing the attention of viewers at the peak of each song!

BBC Mothers’ Day!


In celebaration of Mothers’ Day, BBC and CRITICA created a series of show graphics, revolving around a special 3D lotus with a glass finish. Here’s wishing all Mothers an awesome day and year ahead!

China TVC. MTEE Designs are Alive!


Our choice in clothes say alot about who we are. In this TVC for the China market, designs come alive and emerge from the shirts as 3D characters, to join people, including Jay Chou, in a game. Commissioned by PhunkStudio, this project was completed in 2.5 weeks.

Channel U’s 10th Anniversary!


In celebration of their 10th Year Anniversary, Channel U commissioned a special set of fun promo graphics to add to their usual channel branding. Upon being hit across the pool table, the ball rolls down the ramp and launches into the air to reveal the announcement.

HBO Family Sunday.


HBO commissioned CRITICA to do a set of show graphics for a new time block on Sunday morning. Created in 2D,  the set of graphics include the opener, logo page, end page and transition.

ACP CyberSphere.


ACP commissioned CRITICA to do a fun and engaging corporate video introducing CyberSphere - the latest teaching aid for educators. Infographics created in both 3D and 2D were used to illustrate the potential of the system and convey it to educators during a conference. CRITICA undertook the conceptualising, scripting, illustration and animation, completing the project in 2.5 weeks.

Dance Party Promo. Mediacorp Celebrate 2011.


Put on your party gear for Celebrate 2011 and get ready to dance the night away! The third spot features a darker night look, giving you a small peek into the glam of the party. In addition to these three spots, CRITICA also provided supporting show graphics such as the opener, endpage, lower third, countdowns and transitions.

Kick off the New Year in Style with Celebrate 2011!


Time to kick off the New Year in style! A series of 3d promotional spots were created to promote Mediacorp Celebrate 2011 - the countdown party of the year at Marina Bay. This first Artists Promo features acts by various pop stars and DJs. It’ll be a night of entertainment! CRITICA did a series of promos and show package in English, Chinese and Malay versions.

Ch5 Iron Man – Movie Event of the Year!


Iron Man is flying from the big screen and landing in our homes for Channel 5′s Movie Event of the Year! CRITICA created a series of show packaging elements such as a opener, lowerthird, endpages and countdowns.

It’s a Cabaret with MediaCorp Festival 2010!


Life’s a Cabaret! During Mediacorp’s annual festival, their portfolio of media properties were featured in a cabaret themed show. Critica added to the glitz and glamour by creating the supporting graphics. Pop the champagne and let’s party!

CH5 Point of Entry


For Channel 5′s latest local drama, Point of Entry, we were commissioned to create a series of promotional show graphics. The visual look plays on lines as well as textures and smoke, complementing the theme of law and order within the show.

ESPN Maxis Football Extra.


Bouncing donuts, flying eyeballs, soccer player sandwiches and more crazy characters come together to create this quirky television spot! It was commissioned by ESPN Star Sports to promote their Sunday morning programme, Maxis Football Extra. CRITICA was commissioned to design,direct and animate this promo, using a mixture of cell animation, and 3d toon shaded objects.

CRITICA with MCM & Rinzen.



Commissioned in London, this animated spot was created for luxury brand, MCM, which has made it’s way into the Shanghai market. RINZEN provided the 2D artwork and we were tasked with animating a groovy 2 min sequence that includes dancing, dreaming and swimmin’.

2010 Commonwealth Games


Vibrance and energy was the main aim of this series of animated graphics. They were created from the styleguide provided by the organising committee of the Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi and utilised by Channel 5, MediaCorp (Singapore). We provided a fully animated show package comprising of openers, lowerthirds, countdowns, bumpers and bugs. Let the games begin!

Spooky Halloween Show Package for CH5.


Spooked out already? Original images were treated digitally and animated to achieve this bone-chilling effect. A series of such graphics were created for a Halloween show package commissioned by Channel 5, MediaCorp (Singapore).

CH5 Silver Lining – Heads can grow on trees!


What an eccentric family! Amusing 2D motion graphics were created with a tinge of nostalgia on the side to convey the strong theme of family and community in this dramedy. The full show promo for Silver Lining is Critica’s latest project, commissioned by Mediacorp Channel 5.

Standard Chartered


Quirky and refreshing 2D motion graphics were recently created to promote a new iPhone application by Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). Energetic, fun and vibrant, this 80sec corporate spot includes a walkthrough of the application as well as its relevance to work life in SCB.

The longest arms. MTV Download Show Package.




MTV commissioned CRITICA to design the logo and overall show package design for MTV Download. Its about a man with long arms and likes Lady Gaga and his cat. A series of lowerthirds, endpages, and bumpers were created.

HBO 10th Anniversary Idents.





Commissioned by HBO to animate a series of idents celebrating HBO India 10th Anniversary, we were tasked to create our own vibrant rendition of India’s famous landmarks and culture.  CRITICA did the design, animation, 3d modelling of this series.

Neon gangster boys. Mediacorp Channel U ‘Lovers Club’




Channel U approached CRITICA to conceptualise and create a 30s fully animated ident for their campaign that promotes 7 boys from 5 drama serials.  This will be played on Mediacorp Channel U and Channel 5.

ESPN is looking for a Indian Wrestler.


CRITICA did the ESPN TNA Wrestler Contest spot for ESPN Star Sports.

MTV World Stage Contest Spot.





We recently wrapped up the animation & 3d for the MTV World Stage contest spot. With artwork from Phunkstudio, the CRITICA team constructed them into 3d objects and animated them in 3d space into a 30s contest spot thats currently playing on MTV Channels.

MTV RedAMP.


Contest spots, event spots and billboards & show package elements were created for the MTV RedAMP show. Featuring rock bands submitting their videos to win a recording contract.

ESPN FIFA South Africa 2010.

Part of a set of 6 country/player specific promos, we are tasked to deliver a graphics package for ESPN channel for the FIFA World Cup.  A series of Team promos, lowerthirds, bugs, endpages, templates were created in photoshop and animated in After Effects. A departure from 3d, we had fun going into the basics of 2d animation again.
